CLIENT: Riviera Maya Tourism Board
CONTACT: Martin Ruiz, Director- Playa del Carmen, Mexico
PROJECT DATES: 1998-present

Project Overview
This fast growing region to the south of Cancún is today one of Mexico’s leading tourism regions. When tourism authorities need to expand the area’s reach and recognition across the United States, they worked with our team of educators to create an educational program to showcase the region’s unique features. A detailed written guide was developed, along with other insightful training resources. Our team of Mexico-Expert trainers brought to life the color, history, and niche market potential of the region via a series of classroom-style learning events in key U.S. gateway markets. This effort has been an important element of the Riviera Maya’s “branding” as one of Mexico’s most popular leisure destinations.

Agents praised the events for their educational value, plus the chance to experience aroma-therapy, spa cuisine and other spa elements. Retailers that booked spa packages were rewarded via a rebate of their $10 seminar registration fee.
